I almost beat the first game last year, but fucking hell the repetition is boring as fuck. The sad part is how much I thoroughly enjoyed it until shit got repetitive. I even liked it when you had to reactivate the crystals a second time, adding a few extra things. But doing it four fucking times for the true ending is bullshit.
Based off of what was said here though, I don't know if I even want to play the second game.
Not to be a negative Nancy about everything though, I found it really fun to run around as three or four nights with dual shields. Dealing around 40,000 (or whatever was possible) damage in a single turn, while they can only hit a few hp off of you is really satisfying Ninja and samurai were also pretty fun to fuck around with.
