Tfw i tried Halo Warzone/Warzone Firefight and had [BUZZWORD]
I played Halo 5 on my brothers xbone and the core game was trash. Absolute trash. One boss like 8 times, 3 levels as Captain King and the rest as Luke Cage and Cayde 6. It sucks, it really really sucks even by modern shooter standards. Its shit in every way Titanfall 2 is good.
But Warzone? thats some good shit. Two teams of players like big team battle but with enemy ai teams of covenant and prometheans who you kill for points. Even the mechanics of the req packs would be solid if they werent sold for real money. Kills rank you up to unlock weapon variants or burn cards to drop in weapons or vehicles and i had a good time burning the 'random' card and getting a mech or tank to save a match in the last few minutes. I got another req packs at the end i would never need to buy them, but it was soured by knowing that fucking dumb goys have spent millions on these things i was being showered with. Maybe its dumb kids -or the equally dumb over 40 crowd nowadays- that burn a card, run out and die instantly and repeat till they are starved while any player with experience knows a Halo 2 battle rifle can deal with almost anything.
Its a strange experience where in a vaccum its a really, really fun experience. But then you step back and look at the whole and its a fucking travesty. They could have probably release a much more varied and rich warzone standalone without this horrid campaign for less money and more profit but its an afterthought in a nearly dead game on a dying console. Theres fun to be had, but if you didnt look past the trash thats the focus you would never know.
Do you have any games that come to mind where you have fun with a minigame but the core is fucking garabge?
