Last Recode is fucking dogshit and babbifies the difficulty of a game that's already piss easy. The graphical facelift was lazy as shit and took the game from being one of the most graphically impressive games on the PS2 to looking like a low-effort weeb-bait game like Neptunia. They also removed the extra english VA from Vol. 1 because it's been ten years and Namco Japan is still that petty.

Luckily, some autist is working on a difficulty rebalance mod so maybe it can be salvaged. Hopefully that fucker finishes before I get done with my latest IMOQ playthrough.

The increased movement speed and exp boost means you are always at least overleveled at at the right level for story content. I suppose that since you're older, you probably worked out to trade all your rubbish items for useful stuff like potions for far cheaper than buying them individually.

Have never played the original G.U due to being yuropoor where it wasnt released. Finished Book of Ryu for Vol1 just now. After a friend hyped it up and kept raving about it, it's actually quite fun but definitely showing its age. Maybe vol2 will be better?

I thought about getting LR, since there's supposed to be an "all new" final chapter, but I still haven't gotten around to beating .hack Quarantine. Until I finish off the original story arc, I can't bring myself to start up another 4-game .hack series.

I don't understand why there are so many small changes to script in these games. The Japanese lines in like 99% of cases work just as well in English. It's like anything that isn't textbook 1st grade Japanese the translators just couldn't work out and made it up as they went.

I'm trying to create a cheat to just max out the non-story virus cores but I can't fucking figure out how to do it on PCSX2's shitty-ass system

I did the grind every time I ran through these games, but on my latest playthrough I'm so burnt out on the core grinding that making a cheat patch is getting to be a more and more attractive alternative.

If you were good at memory hacks you could just intercept a pickup and inject a bigger number than 1. You'd have to do this for each Core, but getting 99 the first time around isn't so bad.

Yeah, it's not bad the first time but this is like my ninth playthrough.

Increasing the drop amount is a good solution, but more effort than I'm willing to give in making my cheat patch.
