Yes. "Accurate" emulation of SNES was only achieved a couple of years ago and you need a very beefy 3+GHz processor to do it at 60fps. It still just a thing for emulator autists as SNES emulation was at an already acceptable stage back in 1998-1999 and ran on most systems at the time.
CEMU, however, was clearly a hackjob. It has so many hacks and workarounds to make BotW playable that it is far from an emulator that will even have a semblance of accuracy. Newer versions seems to be dropping the hacks and thus dropping the apparent performance of the games making people like OP mad. Of course, most people that played a game on CEMU and the WiiU knows that the emulator is insanely innacurate for all games. BotW, the one that I played on both, has wonky physics (with objects becoming stuck where they shouldn't and what not), incredibly innacurate enemy AI (making the already easy game even easier) and all sorts of graphical problems (mostly UI related) on CEMU. Though I admit the game looks cool at 4k/60fps on high end machines like mine even with all the problems above.

Anecdotal only. I can loop any Lynel on CEMU to try to charge me and headshot-stun them to death. This is impossible on the WiiU/Switch version as they shuffle their pattern after each stun. Also Bokoblin Horse Archers have terrible tracking compared to the WiiU version (hell, archers in general seem to have pretty crappy tracking on CEMU, but I tested more with the horse archers as theirs was the one that caught my attention), Walking Guardians have wobbly pathfinding often losing track of Link instead of being the relentless pursuers that they are on the consoles.
I posted to the devs my findings and they admit that enemy AI isn't accurate, especially if you are playing the game with mods that increase the FPS or are using any speed enhancing hacks and that they will fix it eventually as the cycle emulation becomes more accurate.

That's wrong. The WiiU is just 3 PPC 750CL cores. In fact, the CPU core of CEMU is most likely already accurate as it probably just took existing documentation gathered from experience with Dolphin
The way CEMU works is by re-implementing Cafe OS API calls and re-interpreting them for the target architecture. CEMU has been really fast through development because it doesn't have to re-implement the WiiUs GPU OR memory management unit. Dolphin DID. The reason CEMU doesn't have to re-implement these things is because WiiU programs do NOT have direct access to the WiiUs MMU. Instead, all memory management is handled by the WiiUs Operating System (Cafe OS). Conversely, Gamecube/Wii applications have direct access to the MMU, which is not typically an easy thing to re-implement. In other words, its easier to make a WiiU emulator than it was to make a Gamecube emulator, as a consequence.

Because Nintendo thought they were being clever and tied BotW heavily to the WiiUs CPU timings. It is crashing because the host CPU is too fast. No, you fucking mental reject. pre-rendered cutscenes do not work in standard CEMU because CEMU does not provide a native MPEG encoder. It's not a fucking hack you stupud shit, cemuhook just provides the MPEG decoder library. And the camera rune issue had to do with an unimplemented API call that has since been implemented for the past several CEMU versions. In other words camera rune has worked fine without cemuhook for months now

i5 4690 + GTX 1070 here. Not top of the line but I wouldn't call it a toaster.
On Cemu 1.11.0c Tropical Freeze runs at 60 fps but stutters like mad, every few seconds or so, to the point of making it unplayable. Even after a second or third run with the shader cache fully built.
It runs pretty much flawlessly and very smooth on 1.7.5. There really was a regression in performance, maybe you're right that it's because the dev removed hacks and the emulator is more accurate now, but doesn't change the fact that OP is right. One title that used to run well now runs like shit.
