Dissidia 012 is pretty good times.
Gundam Battle Universe is superb, but moon speak only in case that's a turn-off
Parasite Eve 3 is not as good as it should be but worth it.
Tactics Ogre is a hidden gem.
Valkyria Chronicles 2 gets a bad rep, but I found it very enjoyable.

Don't forget you also have access to almost the whole PS1 library. If you had a slim/GO model you could get lots of cool emulators, but still you get a lot of stuff to play.

I'm triggered by the "music notes" in that, and that you don't get punished for pressing errant buttons. It's got reasonable difficulty though, and was clearly made by people who love the source. Refer online for translation of menus and things, it's possible to get by with that.

Yeah but this is not that game and you aren't supposed to improvise. You're supposed to match the buttons on time like any standard rhythm game. I'll point out too that the song layout is obviously K-On! only. Most of the well-known ones, but also somewhat reduced in quality or length to the originals.

This is the best model: Any one of at this point. Get the 2000 model for a better screen. Get a 3000 model for more horsepower. Or be a cool guy and gut a 2000 model for the screen and apply it to the 3000 model.

ae805e No.13819531

Mostly makes slowdown in certain games and emulators disappear. Some CFW even lets you unlock your cpu/gpu and run it hotter if you want smooth vidya while taking a hit to your battery.

ae805e No.13819550

The 2000 uses still uses crystal lcd while the 3000 uses that shitty olcd garbage that makes glare a huge issue. It's not the worst screen but if you can change it I would recommend it. I only switched the screen because I had used 3000 with a busted screen. I just used various parts I had lying around since I love buying busted vidya for parts and repairing them.

>What do you recommend.
At this point, I'd recommend getting a PS Vita 1000 w/ OFW 3.6 and then install Henkaku, Adrenaline, and an SD2Vita card. It's basically a PSP with a bigger and much better screen at this point - remappable controls so the second analog can act as a proper camera stick.
The face buttons are pretty shit compared to a PSP though.
9c9012 No.13820087
I understand its a meme and shit but the two Ridge Racer games for PSP are great. Combined they have nearly every track in the series (i think its missing a Rave Racer variant and one other) and great fun to play a couple races anytime. Same goes for the Wipeout games. I still play these.

25 american dollery doos isn't that bad considering you are planning on slapping some cfw on it. The screen is a bit delicate on the 1000s and it does have a cable crimping issue but if you don't toss it around it will last you a while. Your bigger issue is finding a cheap card to store your vidya and making sure your cfw supports 32+gb cards since not all of them do.
