Videogame Cringe appreciation thread
Gentlemen i cannot be the only Cringe Connoisseur. Seeing some autist go into a fit over a videogame in a way that is either reputation destroying or simply embarrassing by proxy is like a fine wine to me.
But whats the real primo shit?
Fighting Game Community Cringe? certainly if it includes Smash players thats some mighty fine material. Especially right now as Capcom is imploding and their brand loyalty shills are having public meltdowns.
How about the speed running community? all the soyboys going into autistic rages about missing a half A press and screaming about how 'new daddy wont let mommy buy any more tendies till i get a job' level stuff. Or a good look of regret after the rage leads to room destruction level stuff on camera.
Then theres dead game fans. People who make youtube videos ranting about how games like Lawbreakers and Battleborn are 'only going up from here!' every week while making angry rants about 'The Haters'. Thats a nice vintage.
Though i think i'll always have a soft spot for the mmo teamspeak rage classics of the late 90's/early 2000's. People threatening murder after another player "stole my fucking cloudsong!" still do the job years after the fact.
Whats your favourite videogame cringe? what gets that horrible feeling in the back of your neck as you recoil inwardly at these random acts of autism, inevitably followed by regret that is so addictive?
