i loved Hoi2 and Victoria 2, but decided to stop buying Paradox games when I realized their new business model is to sell broken shit which even the patches can't fix.

If you must pirate it, but if you are new to HOI series dont start with is, its the shittiest installment of the series.

Play Darkest Hour instead

I bought it and regret doing so. The game is only worth it with all the DLC, which basically contain missing features that should've been in the game from the start.

Even then: the AI is very questionable and it runs like ass after the meatgrinder has been running for a while, and there are a lot of must-have mods that fix the game somewhat. The most fun you'll have is pre-war.
