You should have realized, from general experience of just living past high school, that those kind of rules were just there to teach the basics of formatting, like training wheels. What's important isn't the number of sentences in a paragraph, but the number of lines it takes up. This amount differs depending on where the paragraph is written. Here, it can take five sentences just to wrap to the next line, unless you're viewing the site on a small screen. This should have been a logical conclusion you came to, yourself, through general experience typing things up. You shouldn't need someone to specifically teach you this.

That's not really what it meant, either. Shovelware is a term for games "shoveled" out the door for a quick buck. Most licensed titles fit the bill, obviously, but games like the dozens of minigame collections on the Wii also fall under the title. Basically, if it was cheaply made just to have a game out there making money, it's shovelware. Cheap ports are just cheap ports, not shovelware.

It's a business, OP. You have a responsibility to turn a profit when you run one and that often means doing something other people, such as artistic types that frown upon business matters, would find distasteful.

Their games are generally for handhelds, meaning that the sprites have to be clean enough to be clearly visible on a small screen and fairly small in order to let the screen display enough of the area around them. Their spritework mainly shines in motion, by the way. They have a lot of frames of animation, compared to most sprites. It's clearly hand made too (aside from that recent Shantae with the art style change), while essentially everyone else has stopped doing that in detail these days. Even devs that get praised for their 2D like Vanillaware with Dragon's Crown seem to be using tweening or something like it for a lot of the animations. Spritework isn't just about still sprites.
