to simulate wearing ear protectors and also because of some lawsuits files against developers because of damaged ears from retards that put on headphones at full volume. the dampened sounds cant really hurt your ear (unless you crank up the volume to 11) like the real sounds because of biology and physics magic

Because Call of Duty isn't meant to be a realistic game and it's more about being able to identify what type of gun was shot than being realistic.

Is that a joke? Every WW2 game with Americans (most of them) has had the M1 Garand. Brothers in Arms, early Call of Duty and Medal of Honor.

Nigger there isn't a single game out there that I don't play on full volume. I got some quality headphones and using them with a good DAC for even better and louder sound. The only game that gets slightly annoying after a while is CS:GO because the guns there sound like cancer and are loud as fuck.

I doubt there is any game or movie out there that can hurt your ears with headphones on full volume.
