It's kinda like having an itch you literally can't scratch.

The video game that used to scratch that itch isn't working any more, similar games don't quite get it either, and moving on to a completely different game/genre doesn't feel right either.

You just have to wait for it to go away and then you can finally play a different game.

I do one for a couple weeks or months, then i finish it and take 2 or 3 months before i pick another 50+ hour game, i usually prefer smaller but fun games like platformers or fighting games also emulators or indie, things i can get in and out of intermittently, other wise i tend to get burned out and not play anything for weeks and instead shitpost on 8chan all day
