Had some comfy games on 8ch about a year back. I've still got all the /v/ subs that were made around then too. (v0.4.1.6)

Although I'll be surprised if they're still functional in the current build.

Looking through the changelog seems like there has been added sub v sub combat, new enemies, submarine docking, more realistic sub physics and general bug fixes.

Eh, I'll wait I guess. I was fun but I kinda want that sense of progression. Also there's no reason to go down deep unless you really fuck up and are sinking to it. Having an alien structure down there would give you a reason to hang your ass over the abyss. The fag looks like he was working on the netcode but he need more content now.

At least is fun to become monsters in mod mode and fuck with the crew.

Problem is it can go to shit really fast. Open the door? Sub flooded, hope you have tunnel below you otherwise you are dead, otherwise have fun fixing the hull after you smash into the walls. Oh look, reactors flooded, hope the sub maker gave extra fuel rods so you can get it going again, everyone has probably drown at this point anyway though.

another issue we ran into a lot was a shitload of anon on a boat with nothing to do. So they make their own entertainment by pulling out wires, harassing security, drowning each other in the bilges or poking holes in the hull. Can't say I blame them though, communication can be hard and they probably didn't know what was going on.

Another good game mode would be a static installation thats needs to send an away team to retrieve an artifact. Shit can attack the station to keep the guys staying there busy.

I think your idea would be plausible with the sub docking update.

From the sounds of it you can have a main sub that has a secondary sub docked with it and travel around with them both linked together or separate them and pilot them both independently for whatever reason you can think of.
