i've already complained about cybersleuth's gameplay too much. it was shit, easily broken, and too straight-forward. Like you said piercing moves make the whole game a joke and """hard""" mode is too easy until the royal knights, then its straight out IMPOSSIBLE because they gave them like 2000 speed and your maximum speed is about 750, even with full trainings, accesories, and a speed-type 'mon. the trainings are also shit because you can only add 100 points total when the stat bars clearly go up to 999, but you can never ever get 999 of any stat no matter the 'mon because LOL 100 POINT LIMIT.

Oh man, that episode of Applimon was pretty hype. The only thing that could have possibly made it better is if Tora actually had a role in getting the antenna working. Eri fought Yuujin, Hackerlad hacked, and Haru got it pointing upwards, but Tora just kind of sat around doing jackshit. Even all the Appmons had a role in making it towards the firewall. Outside of that, it was a great penultimate episode, bringing together all the major players, upping the stakes, and managing to showcase the strong points of pretty much everyone.

The Dark Area (the dark sea) is an extension of the digital world. In many ways, it's basically "hell" and it's a graveyard of where all dead/outdated data goes. The result of this is that many digimon, such as the 7 sins (who aren't innately evil) have attained power that most digimon normally can't get by "feeding" off of this.
Dagomon is a combination of Dagon and Cthulhu and the black creatures that abducted Hikari are the example of the common type of creature in that place; formless blobs that we can't make any sense out of.
Demon, the Sin of Wrath, used the dark area to cultivate Arcadiamon, a digimon who was a wild beast and even in baby form, was devouring adult and perfect digimon. Demon let Arcadiamon continue devouring until he was in super Ultimate mode, then Demon devoured Arcadiamon, breaking the Ultimate limit and become Super Ultimate.
Basically, many levels and such mean jack shit as anything native to the dark area is leagues more powerful than anything else in the normal digital world as even the royal knights would be hard pressed to put up a proper fight.
There is a reason there are only 7 sins while there are 13 knights.

Yes, it's good. Retards and whiners will cry till the end of time that it's terrible because the appmon designs aren't giant dinosaurs and there is lots of CGI, but anyone well-versed in current anime trends should be familiar with such things. It's a pretty fun childrens anime that doesn't tryhard. The plot, while fairly simple, is executed well. The pacing is pretty smooth the entire way through and doesn't drag at any particular points. The characters have individuality and sufficient development and focus throughout the series (none of that bullshit where only the MC is relevant come the final episodes.) Karan Eri is cute.
Overall, I would rate it 7/10 as a good childrens show. For comparisons sake, I'd say it's infinitely better than Frontier and 02, but obviously inferior to Adventure and Tamers. Also, if you're looking for deep meta-narratives and interactivity with the rest of the Digimon universe, then look elsewhere.

I didn't think the show was going to be mature enough to let Haru actually tackle that final question at the end in a realistic way. Thought for sure it'd be some 'I choose neither' power of friendship bullshit, but apparently the show had one last surprise left in store for the viewers. Well, Yuujin didn't allow him to push the button and seppuku'd himself instead, but it had just about the same impact.
It was a good show. They could have implemented the burgeoning conundrum and ethics of genuine artificial intelligence a bit more, but I blame that more on the target demographic. Can't get too philosophical and nuanced when preaching to 12 year olds who want to see dinosuar battles, after all. Also a bit less CGI would be have been ace but Toei are some cheap ass niggers, so good luck on that.
The only true negative was the lack of Unryuuji Knight. That dude, and his arc, was awesome. They needed to keep him a villian till the end. He was a perfect foil for Haru and his presence and rhetoric alone did more for the MC's character development than the rest of the series combined. He was just way too wasted on being a mere throw-away pawn, especially since Yuujin was a mega poor replacement.

when these conditions are met. you can press both L and R at the same time and the ExE option should be whited out instead of red. i believe the stats just add up. and i believe they break the stat limit too (ie: if you ExE two 'mon with 9999 Strength, the result will go to 19998, but i haven't verified this).

Digimon emulate earth life, at least in terms of mimicking it. They have forms of things we put into computers, they speak our languages, and of course, the the sheer amount of porn, they emulate that, except there is no tie into reproduction via that physical act.
Digimon are aliens, in probably the most extreme sense of the word and we try to view them as earth-like creatures or just programs, and every time someone tries that, all hell breaks loose because they don't fit into those categories. Even he D-Reaper "thought' it had digimon figured out, but because digimon were falsely emulating human actions, it ended up stumped, confused, and scared because the digimon were more alien than even IT could understand.

One of the dojo's final upgrades lets you fuse a digimon of yours with a digimon in the town (this does nothing to the digimon in the town), so it ends up being that you can go and recruit whoever and whatever you want for mixing materials, but again, ExE won't be possible mid battle and same goes for Death ExE.
Don't worry about burst modes, just focus on keeping the diner nice and open and regularly feeding your digimon there to keep that friendship 100/100/100.

The problem was that the way the game played out, Piercing attacks were the only way to go, so while X move might look badass, the not-nearly-as-cool Y move that did piercing damage was better to use.
That, and most of the best moves were reserved for the mega/ultimate stage.
