I finally watched this show I'm new to yuri after Sachiko and Yumi got elected the faces of /u/ and it was the some of the most heartwarming 17 hours of my life, but I have a few questions:

Who is best girl and why is it Touko?

What the hell was the point of Eriko? She didn't matter at add to the story at all and her entire arc was just nonsense

Also, did I miss out on anything from only watching the anime and not reading the LNs/manga?

Is Strawberry Panic just as good?

Eriko… Right, headband girl. Had a thing for a professor. Dunno either.

Should be okay if you only stick to the anime. Haven't checked out any of the reading material.

And Strawberry Panic is worth a watch, if only for global warming lesbians. Miator girls drive the plot, Spica girls are shit in general and La Rim girls have the most fun. Chikaru and Kagome especially.

Bullshit. It's Sachiko who is best girl.

Eriko was a red herring for Touko. I didn't like how Touko took over the show near the end. Trampled on all the Yumi/Sachiko that came before it since we didn't even get one last dato with them both.

Good show tho. I have the manga downloaded and some things are different in it. It's probably worth a read even if you watched the show.

Yumi is looking around for Sachiko in a most unladylike fashion, Sachiko notices and gives her a tsk tsk expression, but instead of feeling bad Yumi feels happy and wishes that she could go over to Sachiko and get scolded directly, which causes her to wonder whether she is a masochist.
