how can I use youtube-dl to download YouTube videos with the best audio and video available without having to merge separate audio and video files into a single file? I am a brainlet and that shit is just too much for me to handle. I want a single command

Youtube-dl automatically chooses the highest quality to download. If you don't believe me download one copy without any parameters, then use youtube-dl -F to check which qualities are available, download that, and check against the first download.
