Intel knew having some actually check for vulnerabilities would inevitably be the death of their chips. Which is why for years they refused security audits. Now the cat is out of the bag and without some seriously orwellian tactics on their detractors and those looking for the vulns I don't see them pulling through.

This has to be deliberate, the stories I've seen pushed from people who had a cousin at Sandy Hook and an uncle who died on 9/11 say that Intel cut out the fact checkers or some nonsense but this has the smell of glownegus all over it.
