Discuss your favorite programmers who appear in TV and film. These two are so inspirational for me personally.

In Jurassic Park everyone on the security team was using a Silicon Graphics Workstation (hence "it's a UNIX System!")The fat hacker guy was the only one using a MacIt was supposed to be a very subtle jab at Mac owners, even back then

As if. Mac's were always put in the hands of the competent users. Jeff Goldblum used a Mac to hack and upload a virus to an Alien mothership in Independence Day.

That literally changes nothing about the previous post. He is literally just interpreting a scene in a movie as it was probably intended to be interpreted, and making contradictory opinion about the opinion conveyed in the movie as if were the poster's own is a testament to your atrocious reading comprehension.

Hackers (1995) is a very guilty pleasure. I remember actually renting it from the local movie rental store several times to watch it back in the day. I loved the visuals in it, and how every hacker's computer looked and worked differently.

In the climax, the good hackers use acoustic couplers on payphones to hack into the evil corporation's mainframe, then called up a ton of other hackers from around the world to overload it with viruses all at once. It was great. And Penn from Penn and Teller made an appearance.

Do you know what "subtle jab" means? Have people been telling you to take reading comprehension for so long, that you respond to others with that line? Don't just repeat what people are telling you, follow their advice! You worthless ESL niggers need to get off this board!

And does your statement in any way negate the validity of what that anon originally said? Of course not, because you're so high on your Apple Computer loyalty to realize he has an entirely valid point.

I suspect the trend of Apple being portrayed positively in films was either an early example of product placement or due to film industry familiarity with the brand. In any case, they are the laptops for the elite. You will make believe otherwise until you're rich enough to buy one for yourself.

The fat hacker guy was also justified in his anger because he was treated like shit by the scumbag used car salesman Hammond. The movie version totally changed Hammond's character into a lovable grandpa, but the truth is everything was his fault because he was a cheapskate.
