How can we help GNU, FSF and GPL licences fail faster than they already are?
There are plenty of metrics showing that GPL is dying, as developers are choosing more permissive licenses that transfer more freedom of choice as to how they wish to redistribute their software. Yet still, there are some big dominoes that need to fall.
GNU code is notoriously full of cruft and is rotting from the root up, but sadly GCC is still widely used, even though Clang and LLVM are inarguably superior. Should we lobby more distributions to adopt these binutils?
FSF will die when Stallman dies, and judging by his fitness regimen, I don't give it long.
