>OMG I'm a pussy, I don't know if my workflow will stay intact if I install some linux distro
Was my first thought when I was in doubt whether or not to install a linux distro
<Yes ur workflow will be intact unless you need some Adobe shit or gaymes
I didn't do gaymes, but did spend over 9000 hours learning photoshop & premiere pro, so for me a dual boot was the best option
>Why would i dual boot if im gonna spend most time on windows
<Bc you wont spend most time on windows if you have some natural curiosity
I got my shit going by copying necessary files from windows & uninstalling everything that was replaced on linux
>what distro should I install then?
<go debian (because fuck Amazon(tm)'s Ubuntu)
Every necessary piece of software comes preinstalled office, pdf, browser, gui package manager. It even supports your proprietary document formats u love (docx, xlsx or whatever the fuck the microsoft extensions are)
<go for a appealing DE (gnome, kde)
Makes the windows transition easier. Or if u have shit specs, go xfce
Also an ez distro is best (for non-autism), because its a soft introduction into the world of freedom. You'll probably learn config files, the structure of the OS and how beautiful software updates can be, without being forced.
