Don't use digitalocean. Their support started getting incredibly slow (weeks to answer), they have a disclaimer "we're working on our ticket system" (first red flag). Send them a direct message to speed up the support. They agreed they've been charging me

They agreed they've been charging me for a service I cancelled months ago due to a bug "I sent you credit to pay for these month's charges" Ok cool. Credit never arrived. Paid what was left of the month and deactivated my account.

Their platform was only ever good (and i use the term "good" lightly) because they made it easy for any idiot to deploy a vps, had some premade images and had their own block storage solution. Now every host has those features, does them better and has lower prices. Ever since then DO has been in decline. They basically got their name with good SEO on articles of like "how to install <some generic common software> on ubuntu" and even that seems to be fading away.
