This. When they say "I've got nothing to hide" I always remind them about curtains they use. They don't know how a computer works, but they know how windows, neighbours and a creep with binoculars work.
Also a fun thing. Here in my country, some old people still remembering USSR, censorship, spies and phones telling "this call is going to be recorded", are still concerned about these things. The problem is, they think that they're safe, because "we're not having totalitarianism anymore", but obviously they're wrong. That's what happens when people trust government, corporations and institutions generally and forget the history. Back then people feared having a bug in their house, now they install one themselves.
