I sometimes have to use someones' CIA machine and I wouldn't say anything is 'wrong' with it, you'd just have to be brain dead to treat it as your personal space. My bedroom isn't owned by CIA so I do as I please in there, same with my PC, I own it, except the bios.

I got the laptop because it overheated all the time, after it was freed of dust it still has a malfunctioning processor who is barely functional enough to boot Windows, then the CMOS battery was empty and instead of having a socket so I can just switch it out it was connected over a fucking cable which was ducktaped to the battery. That cable had an plug which was in a socket but I couldn't get it off so I ripped out the entire CMOS battery socket. What a piece of shit.

The PC however was ordered by me over the internet. It came with the front plastic parts fallen off and a broken DVD drive.

After contacting DELL they send me someone over, which I had to pay for, just to confirm the DVD drive being broken.

After 2 years I wanted to put in a bigger GPU which failed because the fucking mainboard and box are BTX instead of anything else.

And that's the end of it.

I've used many Dell laptops for work and at home and always had good experiences. No problems with Linux drivers and great build quality. Just make sure to get from their enterprise line and not consumer shit
