I keep seeing threads pop up here saying shit about intel security vulnerabilities. What a lot of people don't get is most of those security "flaws" are actually just backdoors so certain entities can see what you're doing. Eventually, someone finds out about the "flaw" and intel spins it as a "mistake".

There's no way a company like intel would take so many PR hits just to save a few bucks on patching exploits. This shit glows.

Even if they were mistakes, what would that change? Thanks to the """responsible""" disclosure wank, the glowniggers get access to vulnerabilities first. People like to distinguish malice and dangerous idiocy as if that was meaningful. A pwned box is a pwned box.

Alternatively, maybe Intel is like 100% of every other company and makes insecure products so there's no need for super sekret backdoors. But you're probably right. Just buy AMD or ARM or MEME-V and you'll be safe.
