Sorry anons I didn't know what I was talking about. I actually tried using the gnu/linux for actual work and the following happened
>Gaming PC seems a bit slow guess I'll reinstall windows
>What's this? Some partician error not letting me reinstall through repair? Guess I'll have to do it the old fashioned way
>PC somehow keeps insisting I use 8.1
>Have to make a new boot disk, I'll use my 1337 debian for this!
>sudo dd if=/home/1337h4x0r/Downloads/Win8.1_English_x64.iso of=/dev/sdb
>Can't use that for windows iso, need more work
>try etcher
>won't work with windows
>try woeusb
>can't fuckin install
>run around looking for it
>download windows iso twice inthe mean time beause debian's firefox keeps saying it's fucked
>finally find some depostiry
>click the link for 32bit version
>it fucking 404s
>try some other methods
>find out the fucking root termnial only works once and has been a known issue for years
>open another terminal
>it wont fucking let me use sudo despite inputting my password correctly
>reset
>find some other terminal that does let me escalate privilege (checked)
>find some site that gives step by step
>have to download about three dozen dependencies
>All this just to install some shit that makes bootable windows ISO USB sticks
>apparently usb is being used somewhere
>have to restart computer
>restart
>suddenky gtk+ wont load or some shit and can't use gui
>device is fucking busy still
>look up how to unload
>windows decides to not recognize my drives and BIOS fails to recognize it 40% of the time
>spend two days on what should be an easy reinstall of Windows
I'll be sticking to Windows now
