Hey, /tech/! I've got an idea for a game.

>Go to https://www.gnu.org/software/software.html and scroll down/adjust your browser until you can see the whole list on your screen, or as much as possible

>Close your eyes

>Move your mouse cursor around for 10 seconds, then open your eyes

>Click on whatever you landed on or were closest to

>Read the page and report back with what you think of it. Is it good? shit? would you use it?

Alternatively you could use the OP image. Happy hunting!

Nice try, RMS.

I got teximpatient. It's not actually software, but instead a book about how to use TeX.

https://www.gnu.org/software/teximpatient/

I never knew about this. I don't have a need for LaTeX stuff right now, but if I ever decide to learn it, i'll keep this in mind.

Okay, I actually installed it. It makes beeps, but I don't get what's the point of it.

It's for musicians or others who want an audible beep made on a consistent period.

Sounds like something needed.

Is that how niggers generate random numbers? Projects near the corners will have a lower probability of being hit. Here, have a White Man's pastebin, I hope you can figure out how to generate a random number that picks an integer between 1 and the number of lines in the paste.

Mine is better. Just paste this js to console:

document.getElementsByClassName("package-list emph-box")["0"].children[Math.round(Math.random()*a["0"].children.length)].innerText

But you know it isn't random, right? It's still pseudorandom.

>mes

Yes it is good, but still in development

kopi

Java framework using Swing to quickly write basic forms (sounds somewhat useful).

all dead links...abandonware....someone mail RMS a screenshot, so he can gopher in and fix the problem.

I got linux libre. It looks like a well maintained project. I personally try to be practical with my free software, so Im willing to use non-free drivers to get hardware working, ill use non-free ides when its required for school, etc. I think its good you can have a computer running only free software though.

Pulseaudio users on suicide watch.

Good enough. For our purpose all that matters is that distribution is even.

> phantom_home

https://gnu.org/software/phantom_home/

Looks like another abandoned project. It was probably ahead of its time, with today's internet it would be more useful. Turn on the heating while on the go so your home is comfy warm when you arrive.

Yours doesn't work.

> var a=document.getElementById("selectable").firstElementChild; a.children[Math.round(Math.random()*a.children.length)].textContent

for pastebin and:

> var a=document.getElementsByClassName("package-list emph-box")["0"]; a.children[Math.round(Math.random()*a.children.length)].textContent

for link in OP

Right. I've defined variable a in my console earlier.

Now it should work.

document.getElementsByClassName("package-list emph-box")["0"].children[Math.round(Math.random()*document.getElementsByClassName("package-list emph-box")["0"].children.length)].innerText

 No.1024696

>>1024684

Don't use innerText. It's a MS IE thing where the text has to be visible to be returned and it's slower (because that requires more effort).
