I'm writing a 15-page essay on the effect artificial intelligence has had on chess since its inception.

The game has lost a lot of its following after Deep Blue defeated Kasparov, this we all know, but it's simply surface level knowledge. I need to know a bit more to write my essay.

So, does anyone have any recommended readings on the subject? Preferably scientific and something I can read on the internet.

I already know quite a lot, so if you have question you can just use this opportunity to ask me.

will AI be able to love me

Sorry but I don't think A.I as a rational decision maker would go to such extremes as love

Thanks that's nice, maybe chess competitions, or any board game competitions really, will simply consist of two A.I's beating on each other.

maybe you could get a.i. to do your homework lmao

what do you know about konrad zuse?

I'm curious about his chess programs, which were written a decade before turing's publications.

There's some background to the history of chess influencing AI in this book, if you want to cover the other direction.

>I don't want to learn by repetition, so I train a disposable program to learn for me and pretend I learned something.

>In the end, I won't have learned anything at all.

Ignorance is bliss.

Konrad Zuse made a chess programm if I remember correctly(he had issues with computing power and memory), but since nobody at the time cared he discontinued the project and started working on his bussines.

Chess programms really started up again with Turing and Shannon.
