I used to use it, but I recently tried reinstalling it and ran into nothing but problems with the newest version

run very well on my chromebook. Everything works out of the box. I even gave them a few bucks recently because they really do a great job when it comes to hardware compatibility out of the box.

I never installed it but I have live booted it and almost everything worked except the sound.

I once had a cheap chromebook I got for like $100 (4GB RAM, some random ARM CPU etc) and I did a chroot for linux and it was... well, mediocre

I'd rather run linux on a thinkpad or macbook instead of some arm shit, since a lot of linux stuff is x86-only (less and less the case as time goes on, but still true to some extent)

Ran like shit for me, so I installed arch + dwm on mine and it worked fine. I got a really cheap one though for like $200 a few years ago, so I bet if you got a more powerful one it would work fine

Thanks to the RPI almost everything on linux works on ARM now. Even still though, I feel like most chromebooks are x86, mine was >>1015920
