I'm making this thread because I've seen people here debate multiple time about watches and certain brand of phones and I would like to see more. What is the "Thinkpad" of whatever tech is available right now (Anything from pens, watches to cars and the tools that it takes to fix them)?

I'll start:

The JVC XX HA-FX1X, they're very cheap headphones and they're imho of good quality, they have nice basses and they're around 15 bucks.

Thinkpads aren't cheap. They're relatively expensive. They're just so good that they remain usable even after the original purchaser moves on. The "Thinkpad of X" would need to have a strong primary market that refreshes their product faster than the product wears out, so it gets refurbished and sold to secondary markets.

Sennheiser Momentum (and M2), best nomad headphones.

Kobo Glo HD, unbeatable price/quality ratio e-reader and not enclosed in Big A ecosystem.

Sansa Clip+, everyone started with it and you can put Rockbox on it. Prices were overblown in Europe and it's not viable anymore though.

Ontario Rat 1 and 2, Opinel N°8 and Mora Companion are the Thinkpad of knives.

Beyerdynamic > Sennheiser any day. DT250 with velour pads are the best mobile headphones, fite me.

The USED thinkpads (for their price). I'd say Fallkniven the best current brand, though.
