TELL THAT TO KANJIKLUB

What did the space Scotsman mean by this?

Nothing. The whole movie was crap. KANJI KLUB seems like, Kanji Club. I guess its Japanese. Strangely enough the other gang seems to be speaking an Asian language that's probably not Japanese. JJ really fucked up by having humans not speak Basic. What, is there now multiple language that humans speak now? If it was Chinese then it was just for the Chinese market.

The Asian guys in TFA are actually stars from 'The Raid' movie. Its a pretty great action/martial art flick by the way if you haven't watch. I thought the reason JJ hires them is to have some unique lightsaber/martial art action sequence. Kind of pointless cameo really.

What's the deal with monster thing? I forget why Han keeps one of those in his new ship.

 No.3013

>>3008

He's smuggling them. Cameo or not it was dumb and shows a lack of respect for whatever "cannon" Disney was trying to make.

 No.3019

His crew are old style traditionalists that maintain a facade of hoary cultural institution to cover up or counterbalance their criminal nature, like Japanese Yakuza or Italian mafia. He wants Han to say he's sorry by writing in beautiful calligraphy and mailing an old school signed and sealed apology to the Kanji Klub of Kessel in classical ideographs.

 No.3031

>>3008

That monster scene was so pointless and uninteresting. The design of the creature was horribly uninspired, like some gay beholder, while the scene itself seemed like it was trying to emulate Alien.

 No.3032>>3038

>>3005 (OP)

I like how their helmets and suits are covered in poorly painted-on dirt and smudge, yet shine as though they were clean, waxed and polished.

>tfw I've just noticed that it's a shitty remake of the Greedo scene.

 No.3038>>3080 >>4626

Why the hell would you polish the costumes for crooks? Not only is it unfitting the role, in-universe it makes no sense.

 No.3053>>3060

>>3006

"It's over for you." == "Twice!". Just like the kotor games.

>>Just like the kotor games.

?

What?

 No.3073>>4754

>>3060

You see, Maul, regardless of how few voice files every alien race in the kotor series had, they didn't seem to mind the lack thereof, nor be bothered by the obvious limits it imposed to their speech and therefore, their ability to communicate with other races. With that in mind, our little friend mad dog in this particular scene emulates that very behaviour, caring little about the meaning of his sentences and even less for the listener's interpretation of them, fortunately, the subtitles seem to cover that last part pretty nicely so why even bother, right.

Now, "why kotor and not something else?". Irrelevant but yes, it could've been something else entirely.

Probably the same reason Disney won't let you walk in a dirty old freighter ship for fear it might get too dirty

If he's getting exasperated over it and he's one of the higher staff, some real ninny must've been in charge.

 No.3083

>>3080

Ectually, it may have to do with shot continuity worries. The crook polish, I dunno.

 No.4591

>>3008

Its a shame they're killed off like that these guys were excellent fighters. That and they were listed as fight choreographers.

 No.4610

I thought it was Ganjaclub? So they smoked a lot of weed.

 No.4623

>>3005 (OP)

It was an attempt to rip off Greedo's scene.

No deeper meaning.

No future planning.

Just "Han got confronted by a goon in the first film, so lets have him confronted by a goon in this."

 No.4626>>4705

>>3038

Its also stupid to polish them when they have painted on black smudges all over them to simulate dirtiness. Why the fuck is every armor in this movie so fucking clean? Even in EPIV the empire wasn't this fucking shiny.

 No.4628>>6773

>>3080

I hope he makes the movie bad just to fuck with them for bossing him around.

 No.4705>>5386

Honestly, I thought the First Order got their gear from Apple. Would explain why it's so white and shiny.

This doesn't look like Star Wars

Dr. Who maybe? I've heard the comparisons and that seems to be the closest.

Knowing JJ's bullshit, they may actually be his shitty take on the Zann.

Perfect comparison. Looks just like modern whoshit.

The helmets of the guys in the background look like the ones that the Elites wear in Half Life 2.

 No.5392

>>5391

The Elites look better though. The TFA kanjifags look like they a circular black space where their eyes should be with a little red circle in the middle that serves no actual purpose and looks to be made out of the same material as the rest of the armor. While the Elites look like they have some sort of advanced cycloptic visor with infrared shit.

 No.5433

Their leader looks more fucking stupid than their costumes.

 No.5435

>>3006

Why is a normal human (with no sign of physical impediments or unique attire that suggests being part of a rare near-human culture) speaking a cheap knockoff of chingchongese? This shit would've made a lot more sense if they used a non-human, but I guess they needed to meet the diversity quota.

If you had shown me this picture in 2014 and asked me to guess what sci-fi franchise it was from, I would have guessed Doctor Who

Honestly, what were they thinking when they cast this manky as the head of a gang? This git looks like a poofy sod from Dalston.
