Seriously, I wish there was a Trek game based on ambo-jitsu.

how would you even turn that into a video game though? no vision would be pretty shit. maybe the opponent would be invisible and you'd have to guess where he is

i guess you could just take mount and blade and only seeing yourself, although such a mod doesn't exist and probably never will

and it would require the players to own half decent headphones for the stereo

There are martial arts video games Anon. Also, 'game' could mean tabletop games too. There are martial arts tabletop games too, one could be adapted into a Ambo-Jitsu game.

>martial arts tabletop games

Maybe the helmet can have some kind of visor that would only show a 3D-wireframe representation of the limits of the arena and - thanks to the sensor in the staff - a ping, where your opponant was 5 sec ago. I would add a feature that would also display the current bets from the crowd (ingame currency, the good old gold-pressed latinum).

I know those ideas would go against the principles of the "ultimate evolution of martial arts" but it could be fun.

That's quiet an accomplishment since you hear what you say every day.

But no, why would that be dumb? Every tabletop game that has melee combat in it is a martial arts tabletop game. Dungeons and Dragons is, even if it doesn't focus on it at all. All combat moves belong to a martial art of some kind. Gameplay wise it's not all that different from any medieval fantasy RPG, it just says fist, block, and hadouken instead of sword, spear, and magic.

Better yet, how about Anbo-Jyutsu gear sold for real life use? Hone your skills! Harness the warrior spirit! Compete with your friends and family to master the ultimate evolution of the martial arts!

Need to make a mod for this when Butterlord comes out.
