Say what you want about Voyager.

Species 8472 was cool.

>I can't lock onto them at all because interference

>I know I'll just try locking onto their bones

That's still the most retarded shit.

Air is a fluid. There's a lot traveling between your ears right now.

I dunno, I thought they were kind of dumb. It's like, they just tried to think of something that can take down the borg. The idea of fluidic space bugged me because wouldn't that mean that wherever they went into our space there'd be giant globs of frozen goop flying everywhere?

You have clearly never played STO.

Those fucking globs that come out of the rifts are hell in a cruiser.

e5c0c8 No.4815

nope

okay concept but the CGI is too goofy to take seriously and of course being Voyager its execution is one step short of reaching mediocre.

>>4811

did they ever properly explain what fluidic space is supposed to be, why they come from there, and what they've got against clothes or other equipment? real question, I watched voyager years ago and haven't looked back

What I liked about them was that they seemed like monstrous abominations that were potentially worse than even the Borg, but were eventually just shown to be pissing-down-their-legs terrified of the new universe they'd found and the creatures within. Ray Walston as 8472-Boothby actually trying to talk things out for a change was a great episode.

Can we discuss the part where the Doctor mentions that they have seven different sexes?

Because I really think this bears expounding upon.

1b2395 No.6926

>>4808

Yeah, could you imagine a world where things have legs when they living in liquid. Ignore crabs, lobsters, shrimps btw. No reason just ignore them.

>>6924

That's only the case if you include alien species, which is excusable due to them being aliens and not humans.

009ba7 No.6927

>>6926

Yes, but still, how the heck would that work? There are literally no Earth creatures that have more than two biological sexes, so it's unfathomable. It seems utterly impossible for nature to design a species that somehow needs to combine seven sets of gametes to form a new zygote, so there has to be something else to it.

>It seems utterly impossible for nature to design a species that somehow needs to combine seven sets

My memory is fuzzy, does he say one species has seven or that there are seven recognized in the Federation?
