>1st episode of Voyager

>say how the ship has neural gel packs

>expecting a future episode where the ship becomes sentient or something like the episodes where the Enterprise-D's computer outsmarts Geordi or Data.

>NOPE.mkv

>squanders plot opportunity

YOU DON'T SAY

Didn't they lose them to a virus or something?

Kinda. In a one off episode they got sick from Nelix cheese and had to heat the ship to give it a fever. The episode is worth it because it had the EMH being a dick to everybody and being right as always.

they had some backups.

but they were also too sophisticated to replicate or produce.

>expecting a future episode where the ship becomes sentient or something like the episodes where the Enterprise-D's computer outsmarts Geordi or Data.

>NOPE.mkv

well yes but what about the time a sentient missile got beamed aboard because voyager is stupid?

tbh I did like the few episodes addressing the doctor's hardware limitations, like the episode where his code takes up so much space he starts to forget medicine and they have to do some kind of defragmentation where they overwrite another hologram and shit

>his code takes up so much space

Voyager's IT services tend to use the move command instead of the copy command.

>"Oh shit, we sent our only copy of the Doctor on a critical mission on the HoloEmitterUSB stick, I hope we get him back!"

And yet, still easier to watch than the other Treks. Than all of them really. Not the best, but definitely the easiest to watch.

>it's an EMH episode

Truly the best kind.

Indeed. The EMH is the only reason to watch the shitshow that is Vagiver.

Because nothing says trek like vision quests or turning into a lizard once you reach warp 10.

56545f No.4515

i still can't believe they actually let the ship get infected by fucking cheese of all things

one of the worst premises for an episode

it's current stardate, how have they not considered this a possible issue?

>Star Trek: Newts

Trekking with Geico, email their ad department, they might license it and run with it.

>doing some tedious work before turning in for the night

>put some Voyager on in the background; it doesn't demand my full attention the way that other Treks do

>Threshold comes on

I actually stayed up to watch one more episode, because otherwise I'd go to bed knowing that if I died in my sleep, the last piece of media I'd have consumed would have been Threshold. Everyone remembers the ending, but that's just the peak of the insanity. I'd forgotten how truly terrible the rest of the episode is. I still have a hard time wrapping my head around how that episode made it all the way to the TV screen.
