What do people think about Star Trek Continues? I think it's one of the best fan productions out there for the series

If they can hire the real actors then they should hire the real directors too.

I actually disagree in the context of Continues due to just how much work went into trying to replicate just the aesthetic and style of TOS. Most fan films just try and shoot a Trek episode/film straight.

I also especially like they actually got a few Trek actors like Marina Sirtis and John de Lancie.

They've had a bunch of directors on the show. Mostly people who have directed for television and indie films

Directors usually get better with age, anon. When you're only known for one role (or a second role you got as a nod towards your first role), you end up doing these horrible things and conventions for the rest of your life to make sure you can eat between movies/cameos.
