In the Voyager episode where they find the corpse of the space negro inside the graviton ellipse, why do they turn around and give him a burial in space? They guy was already in space when they found him. Tuck his coffin in the corner of cargo bay two where seven can keep an eye on it, then taken him home and bury him in the Earth. It's not like he was a random redshirt.

I guess they didn't know when and if they would come home, and then it made more sense to give him a 'proper' burial as soon as possible
