This thread is dedicated to intensive digging on suspicious Instagram accounts and archiving them while they remain public. Earlier today I connected with a femanon on Twitter who had a treasure trove of notes and accounts to dig on.
Before you grab your shovels, PRAY! These accounts are graphic and many times unsettling. If you were around during the Rachel Chandler digs, you remember. Wear the full set of God's armor before diving in!
The Basics
1. When a new target is identified, immediately scroll to the bottom of the page to fully load all posts.
2. Use a browser plugin (I use Webpage Screenshot Free) to take a screengrab of the ENTIRE account.
3. The screenshot will export as a large PNG. Use Microsoft Paint or some other program to save it as a JPG to bring the size down substantially.
4. Host this downsized file on https://magaimg.net and share in the thread with a clear label of the account being archived.
5. Scroll through the account, click on pictures that jump out at you.
6. Take screenshots of specific posts and comments, making note of any other Instagram accounts and/or people referenced in the post or comments.
7. Repeat steps 1-4 on all new leads gained from post descriptions and comments BEFORE posting in the thread so we can maintain overall archives in the event the account is made private during steps 5 & 6.
