If you run a traceroute to a domain it'll still test to a cloudflare IP because 8ch.net announces cloudflare name-servers

Well I proved you know nothing. I gave links with tests from around the world and a few in NYC, all cloudflare.

Your "New York" test shows 2ms. You're not getting 2ms between NY and NSA's Utah datacenter. 2ms suggests NJ ( that EWR in cogent PTR is Newark )

Your traceroute shows it's testing from ezzi.net to cloudflare and the path is labeled in cogent's PTR as Delrey. If this proves anything it's posisbly cloudflare is delrey, not 8ch.

But I did more research and 8ch is hosted with NTTCOM (AS32335).

You can see NTTCOM seems to only run one peer (AS19214) centauricom.com. Which looks like a 1994 dialup ISP in California. They have a ton of prefixes /19 and /20 and their pricing hasn't been updated since mid 2000's with 256mb vps.

I've ran trace route from my machine and my ISP and none of the hops on the route are military and it ends up landing on Cloudflare's servers. I've also checked www.network-tools.com and they don't have any hops that is military and it also lands on Cloudflare's servers. Checked with a few other online services and I get the same result. It always lands on Cloudflare.

Basically the way the internet works is like streets. The traffic always takes the path of least resistance and it continuously lands on Cloudflare - not a military contractor. Also - in order to host 8ch.net or any of the other chans you would need multiple server farms across multiple locations to ensure the kind of redundancy we see here on 8chan. A small time military contractor would not have access to this kind of equipment.

It would make sense to seize their site and keep it open as a honeypot for pedos but the article claims it's hosted in the US and by a known pedo on the run seems bogus to me.

Also you need to run your tests to the IPv4 I tested to/from, not cloudflare.
