Maud being a good character doesn't make her a good waifu. There are good and bad waifus. There's some subjectivity to a point, but it's a fact of life. I fully endorse laughing at those who fall in love with poor waifu material.

The most popular example, Flash Sentry and Twilight, is different. Twilight is decent waifu material. Getting pissed about Flash/Twi (not canon) is acceptable. Same thing with Flutter/Discord (not a thing). The source of these disturbances is one or both of:

A. Show writers being retarded as always and giving important characters love interests (See: Flash/Twi)

B. Shipping fags pushing a retarded ship down everyone's throat because two characters hugged for 1.5 seconds (See: Flutter/Discord)

On a similar note, I don't think I have to explain why shipfags suffering is always funny.
