I just recently got into this mmd faggotry because of My CV1 and WSS and yeah, the lack of western development is a real pain in the ass.

I've found that the best process so far for finding mmd resources is a combination of jewtube and deviantart:

>Go to youtube

>type in whatever You're looking for, followed with "mmd" (no quote marks)

>get videos

>It seems that it is customary autism in the mmd community to put all of the resource info in the info section under the video, including links.

alternatively:

>Go to deviantart

>type in what You're looking for, followed by "mmd" (again no quote marks).

>Get files.

Notes from the field:

There are levels of autism in the mmd world that are downright obtuse.

You will find half of the models hosted from a chingchong site called "bowlroll"; said files will probably be locked with a password… A password that is usually listed somewhere on the file creator's website, but anyone who already has the file will more than likely list the password online (again, info on youtube video, deviantart pages, etc.)

As the anon above pointed out, most content is non-English, and this causes a world of problems on English language systems:

Japs have a different standard for text files; When You decompress a folder with the usual suspects (7zip, windows, etc.), You will end up FUCKING WRECKING the text for the files in the archive. This will cause WSS to shit itself. Here's what You do:

>Get a copy of Bandizip

>open chingchong archive

>Click the fucking globe faggot icon on the top right marked "Code Page", get drop down menu

>Click fucking Japanese (or whatever language You think the files are in

>Decompress

>files/folders are no longer spaghetti.

The filenames are no longer fucked, but they're still in fucking foreign-speak. This will, again, make WSS shit itself. You'll have to change the file names to something English. And just because the file NAMES are in their native format, doesn't mean the text inside the text files are too. They're fucked, a pile of machine gibberish. You'll need a copy of Notepad++ to get the text within files to display as their native language. But You can't fucking read that shit, so it's off to google translate.

Here's where You've gone down the rabbit-hole of supreme faps, and now have a copy of MikuMikuDance and MokuMokuDance for testing, English pmxeditor to convert the .pmd's to .pmx's and add the parent bone, (don't forget to correct the leg/parent bone issue in E-pmxeditor) a copy of Notepad++ to properly convert non-English text files from machine gibberish to their original language and correct the file language errors in English pmxeditor's files, google translate running in a tab to translate to English, and are regularly patrolling fucking deviantart for motion and sound files because You've found that just making Your waifu harem dance 4U in 3d is fucking adorable.

BUT JUST FUCKING WAIT YOU FUCKING DIPSHITS THERE'S MORE

Remember that unlike MMD, MoMoD / WSS needs whatever motion file You load the sound file has the have THE EXACT SAME NAME, or WSS will not know what the fuck You want to hear with said animation, leaving Your waifu writhing and giggling in complete silence.

Yeah, models are often poorly converted over from other programs, programs that were using different scales or resolutions for their models. So when some weeb does a quick 'n' dirty convert in blender or whatever, They often don't adjust the models beyond that. In WSS:

Did You download the complete WSS, the one that is a whopping 27 gigs when decompressed? that should have great heaping shittons of models, motions, and whatnot to start with. If You're looking for specific characters neked then You're at the mercy of the modelers. I usually just do a search for "whatever I'm after" followed by "mmd", this, with a bit of digging, will get You a lot. I found a site not long ago FILLED with naughty mmd stuff, but apparently I was too fucking retarded to bookmark it. Kill Me

I'll be honest, I came lol for the porn, but stayed for the cute dancing girls in glorious 3D, so I haven't been on the hunt for nude goodies much.
