Not that unpopular. I have been lurking and staying my mouth shut about it. The old design lovers haven't recovered yet from their dark and isolated headcanons that involved them. I am letting them to proceed over the 5 states of losing someone and I can't tell if they are still in the denial process or the depression one. The concept turned around a complete 180,to the point where many would see the transformation as pure betrayal or not cool anymore. I am still waiting when I can discuss properly about him in /mlp/ but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
They are in fact,the new breezies in an equine form and I cannot deny that. Some love it,so I was for the first time I saw them in To Where and Back Again. I cannot simply be the only one who thinks that Game Freak came over DHX design staff and put a cousin of Xerneas in Equestria.

yep. Even though he seems the gayest and progressive, he has shown some true deals about leadership(with his brother and in the opener). Considering that he quite possibly has explained several times why he wasn't an evil changeling in the Crystal Empire may have helped him before these situations and develop those social interactions.
