Did get that working. Sort of. Easy enough to get a premade theme for firefagsit's what ubuntu came with but unless I'm just retarded when it comes to linuxshit and don't know what to search for none of the few pony themes for ubuntu that show up seem to be live links.

And I remember now why I stopped bothering with VMs. The network works unlike when I had set up an XP VM, which is nice, but even though I have everything set up right the shared clipboard and shared folder don't work. Pain in the ass.

why not just install xubuntu and put a pony wallpaper? really, its a cool project but is currently useless, not much to talk about. i tried it out in a virtual machine not too long ago and there was little more than maybe 30 programs. if all you play is quake that could be fine though

I don't know what OP's intent was. Short of full-on theming and icons I got this ubuntu VM ponified in minutes.

both toaruos and ponyos are by the same person as far as i can tell, it isn't like he is ripping it off so much so as it being a different distribution of the same thing. it does say april fools at the bottom and hasn't been updated in a year but it is real, i know it boots up just fine
