>All you need to do really is use moderation
…you're not … from here, are you? Most people above 400lbs have no idea they're eating too much. Most people have never had a good diet modeled for them at home. So, they eat until they're satisfied and guess what? That's too much. Some eventually find the calorie counting systems and if they stick to it for six months, maybe their diet is missing something but now they have had it shown unequivocally to them, what "enough" feels like in their belly.
After playing around with the fad diet systems for awhile they can, yes, hopefully move on to less emotionally restrictive eating habits but since humans are built for a world of scarcity, fat tastes SO good because normally we'd only be getting a couple mouthfuls a month of real, red meat. Being rich, in a rich land of plentiful food means our instincts become our worst enemies, long-term.
Saging for no-ponies. But nearly on-topic, I would consider eating horse meat. But in the states, it's not only illegal for horse meat to be prepared or sold for human consumption, we can't even slaughter horses if it's bound for human consumption. This ends up meaning all the unwanted horses get carried, unwatered and unkempt, broken legs and all potentially, across the nearest land border.
Want to increase humane treatment of old, or excessive horses? Push for a slaughter house in every state … the number of horses won't likely change, but at least they won't have to be carted so far.
So, I guess saging also for getting political on the board about cartoon talking-equines, whom we can't eat because that would be a form of canibalism. Kinda.
But I would totally eat the CMC. If you get what I mean (Imagine that double-clicking sound here, even though I can't even remotely make it).
