We don't even have to go as far as alternate universes. Given infinite space, everything that's physically possible must exist somewhere in our own universe. In fact, it must exist infinite times, even if the examples of this may be infinitely spaced apart.
Somewhere out there, the physical conditions for a being exactly like you of a species exactly like humanity, from a planet exactly like Earth happened infinite times, resulting in infinite yous in this very universe. And the physical conditions for a being exactly like you to be transported to or born on a planet exactly like Equestria have also happened infinite times. If it's physically possible, it's already happened infinite times, and the next time it happens, it may happen to you.
And of course since memories are just physical electro-chemical impulses, even if it doesn't happen to the you, it could always happen to a you in a distant corner of the universe who just so happens to have all the memories of the you that's you through a strange neurological defect. Given infinite time, it will happen.
