Proposal: a new show to spite G5. It's about Applejack and she lives in a town where every pony is Applejack. Each episode she solves apple-related problems and at the end all the Applejacks gather in town square to play the banjo about what they learned.

I have read before that Applejack is difficult to write for. There were some unverified complaints that got passed around back in the day when the whole "background pony" thing was getting started. I can see where they are coming from, too. For the sake of humor, each of the characters is required to be silly at certain times about certain things. When the other characters behave badly to comic effect the results are often funny. That is not really true of Applejack. When she behaves badly it either turns out like "Where the Apple Lies" and "The Last Roundup" where all the laughs are generated by other characters or cringy like "Somepony to Watch Over Me" and "Applejack's Day Off." Honestly, when was the last time that Applejack herself earned a laugh without Rainbow Dash or Rarity there to play the foil? "Applebuck Season"?
