I'm not saying anything about this episode other than somewhere, you just know that Jay Fosgitt is bashing his pud to this. Also, shouldn't Zecora have a closet full of weaves to fix this situation?

We're three weeks off from the US release of the MLP Movie. Be sure to regale us with your tales of screeching bronies in the theatre once you see it. The theatrical release has the potential to remind normies that horsefuckers exist in a very real and immediate way and I can't find a garbage bag full of popcorn large enough.

A good Rarity episode could get this season back on track. It has been fairly weak since the mid-season hiatus, and another "Canterlot Boutique" would be a godsend right now.

for a rarity episode… this episode was actually pretty good.

Lots of meme potential, good use of every main character, good sight gags, comfy season 1 or 2 feel, good use of background characters such as the flower trio (lily, daisy, and rose). More episodes of the show should follow this formula.

Only down thing is that Twilight and Starlight have effectively become the same character.

So Photo Finish followed Rarity around without her knowledge and took pictures of her to put into a magazine. That is incredibly creepy. How was Rarity not upset by that?

Rarity was uncharacteristically subdued in this episode. There was no screaming and wailing about the worst possible thing. She cried and brooded, but beyond that she seemed oddly rational in a way that she has not been since "Suited For Success." I have not determined whether or not I like this take on her. On the one hand she really did seem like her Season One self. On the other laughing at Rarity going all Jim Harbaugh is fun. Well, I did not hate her rediscovered self-control, and it did work in the story. I guess that makes it a good thing.

It was nice to see Diamond Tiara again even if she did not get to speak. I do not know how they will be able to use her again, but I really wish that they would.

Speaking of speaking, Sweetie Drops got yet another new voice. So did Golden Harvest and the Flower Trio. Was Lily flirting with Rarity? Nah. Probably not anyway.

Of course, but I do wonder if the voice changes for Sweetie Drops/Bon Bon are intentional now. She has spoken in, what, seven… eight episodes now? She has about as many speaking roles as Discord or Luna or Cadence have had. It is either intentional or a remarkable bit of luck that she would have a different voice every single time.

I am fairly certain that it aired before the break. Besides, it is episode thirteen, which puts it in the first half of a twenty-six episode season. The mini-hiatuses always happen between episodes thirteen and fourteen. If I remember correctly, the first episode after the break was "M.A. Larson Uses Ponies To Bitch About the Fans."
