Over time they sort of crumble, like get powdery and erode. they also get very very soft after just a couple years and your back will feel awful. They arent popular because they are good, they are popular because they cost nothing to produce and people buy whatever is advertised to them. The best beds ive ever slept on have been super old ones from the late 80's-90's that were the best ones back then. Obviously never buy a used one because bedbugs are real and scary. but If you have a family member with some old awesome king size whos getting rid of it, I would snag it. Just a real oldschool bed thats firm is your best bet. I know al this because after living in hotels for work, then buying a $650 soft mattress that fucked my back, I have done a lot of research. firm is always better.you can always add a memory foam top.

It's quite firm…
I've got no complaints about the mattress quality
My only complaint is the fiberglass requirement
Shredded fiberglass has no place in your house
It doesn't matter who you are
You don't want shredded fiberglass in your house
And in America they are required to have fiberglass covers, meaning it's basically a toxic hazard waiting to happen.
That's my only complaint
