Billionaire financier George Soros recently published an opinion piece in the New York Times accusing Facebook CEO and cofounder Mark Zuckerberg of trying to help President Donald Trump win reelection in 2020. Coincidentally, Soros echoed sentiments expressed by Hillary Clinton, Trump’s 2016 rival, in an interview with the Atlantic just days earlier. Clinton told the Atlantic that Facebook is “not just going to reelect Trump, but intend[s] to reelect Trump.”

The idea that Zuckerberg and Facebook are actively promoting Trump is a conspiracy theory, as Facebook’s rules are hostile toward conservatives, including some of Trump’s biggest supporters. What Soros and Clinton actually want is more censorship of conservative voices.
