Those wishing for 64GB Nintendo Switch game cards will have to keep waiting. According to a Wall Street Journal report, Nintendo pushed back the rollout of 64GB game cards until 2019, citing "technical issues" as the problem. Game developers get Switch cards from Nintendo, so this means that they'll have to wait to get game cards that can support big titles.

Currently, Switch devices have 32GB of internal storage; however, it comes out to about 26GB of usable space, as a portion is reserved for system software. Switch game cards currently support 32GB of storage, and they're able to easily hold games like Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Nintendo planned to release 64GB game cards in the second half of 2018 to support larger games, but it appears those cards won't be ready for another full year or more. Some big titles require more storage from the get-go, and 32GB simply won't cut it.

anything over 32gb is just the mark of a lazy developer who doesn't know how to code and graphics/3D guys that don't know how to optimize.their shit. that's not even counting the game experience itself. there were 8bit games and pc games that fit on a few floppy disks that still outplay the shit that comes out now with 32gb of unoptimized "woooo graffficczzz!"

Fallout 4 is the best game in the series, and dont even try to respond with "muh 1 and 2" because i played them both and their graphics suck, the turn based gameplay is annoying, and honestly i didnt even know what the story was because i had no clue where to go in either of them.

Super Mario Odyssey takes up barely 3GB. BOTW takes up 8GB I think.

You don't need lots of the jeebees to make a good game. Modern developers are lazy and it has made them shit. They should stop relying on third party tools so much and learn to make engines from scratch and optimise their shit.
