I've begun to unironically enjoy corny eurotrash hardstyle techno. Its fun and it makes my floors shake, which I enjoy. What I'm not enjoying so much is all the shitty vocal samples and movie-trailer VO-guy monologues. So far I've just been downing random shit off soulseek. I know this genre has been around forever so there must be some essentials I'm missing out on. Please make me some reccis of shit both old & new and I will bump with my favorites. The harder and more aggressive/disgusting bass the better. Also is this the same thing as gabber? Which came first? alternatively tell me to fuck off, I don't lurk here so its possible I've violated your posting conventions somehow

I know its eurotrash but I sort of have an affinity for that aspect of it. For context I'm an american recovering hipster.

this give me an esoteric type of feel, nostalgia for a scene and a time I was never a part of. Thanks anon.

It was probably the first song about getting banned in a chatroom ever.

Now that I know what this song is about, I never want to hear it again.

If you like "Rawstyle" i'd recommend Rebelion, Thyron, Regain, Malice, Rooler, Warface, E-force, Sub Zero Project, Radical Redemption, Caine, Unresolved, Sub Sonik, D-Sturb, Delete, Ncrypta and Luminite.

Nowadays Hardstyle tends to have a more distorted, more compressed "industrial" kickdrum seen from artists like; Devin wild, Keltek, Ecstatic, Envine, Adrenalize, Sephyx, Frequencerz, Noisecontrollers, Retrospect, RVAGE, ANDY SVGE, Sound Rush (so many more).

If you like the older euphoric hardstyle tracks I recommend between 2009-2012 (just look up "best of" mixes).

And fyi gabber came first and is basically the predecessor of "Happy Hardcore, or UK Hardcore" today. Less distorted, more "silly/fun" has cringy lyrics. Not a fan tbh
