If you had to kill yourself, and had to chose one final song to listen to before doing it, what song would you chose?
Personally, i'd choose "Hey Moon" by John Maus. It gives me this strange sense of, "it's over, but that's okay." kind of feeling. It's sad, but it makes me feel good in a way too. I don't know if that really makes sense, maybe some of you will know the feeling.

the look on the lady presenters face when lennon approaches her while still playing his guitar and looks like he's about to sit down while still playing is enough for me (also that gentlemanly thing where he carries the mic stand for yoko while still playing is so weird) They really were an odd couple and john acted like a complete sub.

Because the hippy horseshit at the time and the LSD he was taking softened him up but he still cucked the shit out of Yoko Ono.

Tough to say which I'd use, but I feel that this one would be appropriate. Especially when you regard the title of the track.

I'd play the sounds of home and youth in the South. Make peace with it all before stringing myself up on a mesquite in the middle of the night.

It's taken me more than half a decade to fully realize this, but Relapse is unironically the joint-third best album of his whole career (MMLP and TES come 1st and 2nd respectively, SSLP 3rd on some days). My taste wasn't shit, it was everybody else's; a combination of faggot kids that were too young to remember the absurdist themes of SSLP - Devil's Night back when they originally came out and expected a TES2, alongside faggot adults that were probably old enough to have seen him in concert during the Infinite era and ought to have moved on from him long prior joined forces and ensured we never got a Relapse 2. They should have limited its listening to 12 - 21 year olds only, as we were the only ones who truly "got" it when it came out, and it took the rest of the world many years after the fact to catch up. It's telling when the best track from the next album was a re-recorded lead single for Relapse 2. He even still has his "accent" that they despised throughout it.
Also from what I've heard Revival is a fucking disaster worse than Encore and proof that The Curse does not discriminate. When his previous albums had around 5 strong hits apiece and reached #1 in basically every country they launched while this has just 2.5 weak hits and struggled on the same charts he managed to dominate with MMLP2 4 years ago you just know it's shit.

For a less instant form of death, like mixing xanax and heroin. Take one and wait for the sensation of sleep, then take the other and stop breathing.

That John Maus album and especially Hey Moon reminds me of living in the big city as a student and getting high and drunk, alone, almost every night. It's a strange feel looking back now.

For me it would be Anal Cunt's "I Wish My Dealer Was Open" from their cock-rock album *Fuckin' A* this album was recorded after Seth recovered from his coma and not long before he passed away. The song invokes feelings of an inevitable end; where all wonder and amusement taper off like a dying candle. It also expresses resentment towards a Mexican who refuses to pick up the telephone which gives a stark insight into the society of today and life in general. In response, the song breaks out into hard-rocking segments accented with Seth's furious screaming which lashes out at the injustices of this world. Despite being beaten down by other people and life: Seth refuses to accept that bullshit and persists on screaming and rocking against the forces which aim to keep him down. Fans of Anal Cunt can learn important life lessons from Seth and his cadre's songs.

This thread sends chills down my spine. All shitposting aside, some of the tryhard suggestions here would be terrible mistakes if you actually had the misfortune of leaving this plane of existence while listening to them. At the moment of death, you're going to be tripping your balls off, retards due to certain chemicals released by a gland deep in your noggin inb4 joe rogan plz go. You aren't going to want to be subjected to any of this sentimental shit that in your normal state of consciousness might move you emotionally or have a meaningful message in the lyrics.
If I had to pick any music at all, it would old school ambient electronica (avoiding a lot of 'dark ambient' though). Nothing percussive and for gods sake nothing with discernible vocals (steve roach did some trip-worthy pieces with angelic chick voices but most singing should be avoided). Anything else will literally fuck up your journey to the afterlife and might very possibly result in you coming back as a rodent, insect, or other lesser lifeform. I promise you every faggot who went out to that ukulele version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow was reincarnated as a Jew. Please heed my warning, anons.
