Nice thread and nice video, OP. I'm not a big fan of Smashing Pumpkins but they have some great songs. I love nostalgic songs too, hopefully I can contribute a few.

Probably my most favourite song of all time. The whole album is special, almost as if it was divinely inspired.

This is a Norwegian artist who has done a couple of instrumental concept albums. Really unique sound.

My mom put on the Chanticleer's "Our Hearts' Joy" album every Christmas time, and it takes me back to the relaxing, dark evenings spent at home.

Both the song and the video are real comfy and remind me of when I was happy.

This. I wasn't even into Aphex Twin until long long after this album came out. It still trips those nostalgic feelings though.

this is the very first song I remember hearing. the memory is actually very clearly burned in my mind, which is very unusual for me as I barely remember anything from before I was 10 or so
it was the afternoon, the sun was coming in from the window in a very pleasing angle. the leaves on the tree outside were all yellow so it was early/mid autumn. I was standing in the kitchen of an old wooden house, watching a woman do dishes while the song played on the radio. the woman was not my mother and I never lived in a wooden house, so I'm guessing this was some sort of daycare arrangement.

That song always spelled doom for me, because it always came on at exactly 7:45 which was the latest I could leave for school and still make it on time. Every time I hear that theme song I get fears of being late.

I know what you're on about, and at the time that song came out I was already yearning for the past. I think I know why we're both "nostalgic" about something that's 6 years old and from an era when most things had gone to shit:
>Penultimate year of SJWs largely keeping out of everything
>Last year of politics and race not mattering (Trayvon was 2013 IIRC)
>Year we all thought it was going to end or ascend (I remember in 2011 I had autistic thoughts in my head of commentating the last moments of our existence before the world either ended or DBZ became real)
Anyway, this song or these two I distinctly remember from the nursery bus I got driven in every day for about 3 years:

I should just make a playlist in all honesty. This era of music ('98 - '01) is highly underrated upon reflection, and I mean that for just about every genre.
