Since the day you were finally discharged from the Nato army, you looked for a quite place to spend the rest of your years. You sat in your darkened apartment, in one of the few Mega-Skyscrapers left standing, surfing the Government sponsored web service when you stumbled upon a government fire sale style auction. As the auctions quickly passed you began to realize that the government was auctioning off any unusable land to help pay down its ludicrously high debt from the war. Quickly scrolling through the listings you see just what you've been looking for. Attu Island, home to the highly contested Attu JointTask Base.
In the early days of the war, the Pan-Asian Alliance had destroyed the highly strategic base with a nuclear strike, hoping to prevent massive damage from the fleet of bombers and other conventional weapons stationed there. You figured you'd be fine, so long as you stayed on the other side of the island… and maybe invested in some iodine. You must've been the only one who thought so, seeing how your 1.00 Credit bid passed uncontested.
I'm going away for the weekend, so the story won't actually start till probably Monday. I will be checking in for any questions for the next few hours.
